4-Peat Grand Slam Champion
Feb 8Last February 8, 2008, 4 of our computer wizards came to compete with 33 other schools in the Inter-High School I.T. Quiz Bee held at the Arellano University. After a number of weeks' preparations, Martha Aquino, Kim Biong, Darren Ignacio, and Raymond Shappit emerged as this year’s I.T. Champions. This triumph in an interscholastic competition is by far the 4th consecutive win as Champion of SJA.
Raymond Shappit, Michael Norella, Champion
Feb 1Last February 1, 2008, SJA claimed the victor’s cup in the Technokids Cup 2008 I.T. Quiz Bee which was held at DLSU-Manila. Among 30 competing participants, we once again fared best as our representatives, Michael Jake Norella and Raymond Shappit, came out Champion for the 3rd time.
Christian Nacorda emerges 5th out of 29
Jan 16The Jose P. Laurel Cup 2008 was held at the Lyceum of the Philippines University last January 16, 2008. Our representative, Christian Nacorda, was trained under the supervision of his trainers, Ms. Alicia Navarro and Ms. Dalisay Sermise ranked 5th out of 29 schools. The contest was primarily a tribute to the person responsible for establishing Lyceum, the late President, Jose P. laurel. The contestants were the ones entrusted to choose their own English oratorical pieces which must be written by JP Laurel with the theme, Nationalism and Spiritual Values.

Jan 16The BrainQuest Academic Quiz Bee was a contest that our representatives joined in the Lyceum of the Philippines University last January 16, 2008. The Bee was comprised of 3 categories namely, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge. In the competition, Raymond Shappit, Michael Rolluque and Rommel Cruz, surfaced as 12th placers among 35 competing schools.
